The Great Confligration of '06

As many of you know we experienced a house fire in May of 2006. We we are almost at the one year anniversary to that even and are still living in an apartment. The main reason for not being back home is due to delays in the settlement with our insurance carrier, but we are starting to see some light at the end of the tunnel.

Based upon the amount of the settlement, coupled with what we were budgeting for home improvements before the fire, it has become very apparent that the restore the house to its former glory would not make economical sense. We have decided to raze the structure and build anew. To keep costs down we have decided to erect a pre built home also known as modular. Now get those images of trailer parks and double-wides out of your mind immediately. Modern pre-built homes have come a long way in the last ten years. Unless you were told that our home was built in a factory and then transported onsite, you would never know.
